ABOUT

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak was founded in July 2008 by an Act of the Indian Parliament and is entirely sponsored by the Central Government. The University Grants Commission recognises the university (UGC). Undergraduate (BA, B.Sc, B.Voc, B.Com, B.Ed, BBA, BCA, B.Pharm, D.Pharm) and postgraduate (MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA) programmes are available at IGNTU.

 

Location:

IGNTU is in Podki, Madhya Pradesh. The university is 24.3 kilometres from Pendra Road Railway Station and 16.4 kilometres from Amarkantak Bus Stand. The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak is approximately 3 hours 29 minutes distant from Bilaspur Airport. Students can get to the university by taxi or bus. Cultural Club: CUG’s cultural club provides a platform for students interested in dancing, singing, painting, sketching, and so on. This club’s members organise various activities in which interested students might join.

National Service Scheme (NSS): The goal of NSS is to work for the betterment of society. NSS provides various training to students to assist them become good leaders and to improve their communication abilities.

The full form of NCC is National Cadet Corps. This club fosters character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, and a secular worldview.

Sports Club: This Club also organises a number of significant events such as marathons, triathlons, environmental awareness drives, and conferences to encourage students to participate in sports and outdoor activities.
