The Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy, better known as SASTRA Deemed University, is a famous higher education institution in Tamil Nadu’s Thirumalaisamudram hamlet. • SASTRA University has partnered with AstraZeneca India to promote innovation and industry-academia collaboration.

AstraZeneca India Private Limited (AZIPL), the Global Capability Centre (GCC), and SASTRA University have inked a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will promote industry-academia collaboration through various research and development activities. The MoU seeks to give chances for innovative technology development in SASTRA and ABLEST academic departments (The Association of Bio-Inspired Leaders and Entrepreneurs at SASTRA).

• SASTRA University to establish VR Facility in 75 schools across Tamil Nadu

Sastra Deemed to be University stated on the occasion of the National Science Day Awards that it will build a virtual reality facility in 75 Tamil Nadu schools. Students will benefit from an immersive and interactive learning experience thanks to the VR facility. Each VR service is expected to cost roughly Rs. 2 lakhs.

SASTRA Law School’s all-girls team triumphs in the SAARC Law Mooting Competition.

The 6th Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon SAARC Law Mooting Competition was won by an all-female SASTRA School of Law team comprised of three final year students of the 5-Year Integrated LLB degree – Thejaswini.C.B., Pavitra. M., and Kavitha Ravi. This SAARC Moot featured 18 law schools from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, and Afghanistan. The moot matter was an environmental law issue affecting the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

SASTRA Student Creates World’s Lightest Femto Satellite For Nasa Launch – S.Riyasdeen of SASTRA Deemed University created the World’s Lightest Femto Satellite For Nasa Launch and won the Cubes in Space Global Design Competition for Space Launch in NASA Rocket & Scientific Balloon. This competition was held on a worldwide scale, and approximately 1000 students from 73 nations competed. S.Riyasdeen’s satellites will be part of the SR-7 NASA Rocket Mission, which will launch from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, USA in June 2021, and Sat v2 will be part of the NASA Balloon Mission RB-6, which will launch in August 2021.

The SASTRA University Central library offers over 1,02,600 books and 290 journals and publications in subjects such as business, architecture, and law. The SASTRA University campus features two Indian foreign bank offices that are open 24 hours a day, and the department of post and telegraph provides postal services on campus. Candidates are welcome to visit the SASTRA Cafeteria at any time; it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Numerous bookstores, including Canopy, Higginbothams, and Gurunath, are located on the SASTRA University campus for the convenience of students.

SASTRA University has nine hostels equipped with all the amenities required to make each inmate feel at peace. Students have access to SASTRA University’s sports complex and are encouraged to participate in sporting events and tournaments. A cricket field, basketball courts, badminton courts, football fields, and other amenities are available. SASTRA University provides a forum for applicants to perform research and practical study in a variety of laboratories, primarily chemical, electrical, biochemistry, survey, and English communication labs.
