placement process

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in Nirjuli places great emphasis on providing its students with the best opportunities to secure employment after graduation. To achieve this, the institute has a well-established training and placement cell that is dedicated to ensuring that its students are well prepared for the recruitment process. The cell works tirelessly to provide students with training programs and workshops on personality development and communication skills, so that they can approach the recruitment process with confidence.

The placement process begins with NERIST sending an invitation to recruiters and coordinating with them to schedule dates for the recruitment drive. This is followed by students registering with the T&P cell and submitting all required documents. Only those students who meet the eligibility criteria are then invited to participate in the recruitment process. The recruiters conduct a series of tests and interviews to assess the students’ skills, knowledge, and aptitude. The first stage is a written test, which is divided into sections that test students’ quantitative aptitude, logical and reasoning ability, and English competency, among other things.

Next, students who pass the written test are required to participate in a group discussion on a topic selected by the recruiters. This stage is designed to evaluate students’ communication and speaking skills. After the group discussion, students must then participate in a technical interview and an HR interview, which are conducted by representatives of the recruitment companies. These interviews are intended to assess students’ technical knowledge, communication skills, and confidence.

Finally, after successfully passing all of the tests and interviews, students are offered job offers and salary packages based on their performance and academic scores. NERIST is committed to providing its students with the resources and support they need to succeed in the placement process, and the training and placement cell works tirelessly to ensure that as many students as possible secure employment after graduation.
